Over the last decade, Freelancers Union has built the largest grassroots movement of independent workers in the country. Together, we've won the right to offer portable group health insurance and created more equitable tax policy.

Yet there's still work to do. This year, we're pushing elected officials to pass laws and develop policies that protect freelancers from unpaid wages. We formed a PAC (Political Action Committee) to represent independent workers—one third of the workforce—so we put lawmakers who support our issues in office.
