Derrel DeLarios Johnson is a freelance event planner who works on event planning, marketing, promotions and consulting. Currently, he is a nonexclusive event planner and sales representative for Loft 676, Soho's newest gem of an event space that opened in late 2009. His professionalism and work ethic enables him to work in fast-paced, highly-pressurized environments on multiple tasks simultaneously to create the best possible end product.

Derrel, along with two childhood friends, founded Trifecta Entertainment in 1997. Together, they produced a variety of events in many genres and venues, including parties, concerts, nightclubs, bars, fund raisers, art exhibits, movie screenings and premieres, poetry slams, comedy shows, and fashion shows.

Since January 2008, he has worked with countless prestigious corporate clients, including Johnson & Johnson, Ernst & Young, DRS, Novo Nordisk, Kaye Scholer LLP, and Cheil Worldwide. He has volunteered his event planning skills for The United Negro College Fund, The New York Urban League Young Professionals, and The Blue Note. He has also planned, hosted and/or promoted events attended by Diddy, Alicia Keys, Michael Strahan, Funkmaster Flex, Bobby Trends, Cassie, and Lauren London, to name a few.

Derrel Johnson is an alumnus of New York University's Stern School of Business and has worked for some of the world's most prestigious financial institutions and law firms, including Goldman, Sachs, and Co., and Prudential Financial. He has worked for various political campaigns, from Ross Perot for President in 1992 to Eric Gioia for Public Advocate in 2009. Derrel is an accomplished musician, poet, and a New York City socialite.
