Search for Doctors
FIC: Search for Doctors in the BlueCard PPO® Network
1. Start at anthem.com
2. Click on Find a Doctor
3. Under National Directories, select Search the National BlueCard Directory
4. Choose Search by Location or Lookup by Name (top right)
5. Under Guests/Select a Plan, Select PPO
6. Follow prompts, make selections, and complete required fields
7. If Alert box appears, click on View Results inside box to see search results
Freelancers Insurance is now listed on ZocDoc
Freelancers Insurance is now listed on ZocDoc, a free service that allows patients to book appointments online and view user ratings of doctors. (Please not that not all BlueCard PPO doctors participate with ZocDoc; for a complete list of BlueCard PPO providers, follow the instructions above.
1. Click "Find a Doctor or Facility" on the right-hand side of the screen.
2. Instructions to find a doctor can be found on PerfectHealth's Find a Provider (PDF).
The doctor search is available at http://www.multiplan.com/
Search Tip: The MultiPlan's website works best in Internet Explorer.
Looking for a Hospital?
1. Visit HIPUSA.com, and click "Provider Search" on the right-hand side of the screen.
2. Select Member or Non-Member (if you select Member you will need to enter your Member ID number). Then select the type of medical provider you are looking for - select hospital.
3. Next you will be required to put in your state, county, zip code, and facility type. Enter the information required to generate search results.
Search Tips::
If you search by name, you need to enter the hospital's name exactly the way it appears in HIP's database - we recommend searching by county in New York. To search for participating hospitals in New Jersey or Connecticut, leave the county field blank.
If you want to search for a specific type of hospital facility, click on one of the options under Facility Type. For regular hospitals, select "Participating Hospital"
If you search by zip code, your results will only include hospitals located within that specific zip code, not the surrounding areas.
